Jan. 9 - Feb. 27, 2025 - Thurs. nights - babies due Mar & April
Mar. 5 - April 23, 2025 - Wed. nights - babies due May & June
May 1 - June 19, 2025 - Thurs. nights - babies due July, Aug & Sept.
Program Includes:
Minimum 16 hours of instruction.
Small class size - 6 Couples.
Comprehensive student workbook.
Access to a lending library of books and DVD’s.
Unlimited phone and email support before, during, and after birth.
Doula Services available upon request for a minimal additional fee.
Virtual classes offered.
Weeknight classes run from 7:00pm - 9:00pm in Airdrie. It is recommended that couples begin the 8 week series around their 27th week of pregnancy.

Class Description:
1. Birth Anatomy and Physiology – understand the science of what’s happening at each stage along the way.
2. Labour Comfort Measures – practical holistic techniques that involve the physical, mental and emotional aspects to minimize and manage pain.
3. Partner Roles and Responsibilities – understand and become aware of their importance; how to help using hands on tools such as relaxation and pressure points to name a few.
4. Interventions and Medications– recognize when things don’t follow the norm such as induction or c-sections your knowledge will still allow you to make informed decisions. Also, medication options available to you with pros and cons.
5. Labour Rehearsal – multiple opportunities thru out classes to practice handling contractions and different labour positions along with a full 30 min rehearsal to put it all together.
6. Postpartum – recovery after birth and the following number of weeks along with transitioning into parenthood.
7. Breastfeeding – proper latching, knowing they are getting enough and handling issues that may arise.
8. Newborn Care – caring for your little one over the first few months, including bathing, swaddling and intro to baby signing (See other class options for more details on signing).
